We’re delighted that our recent documentary On the Buses at the Movies was able to include special archive interviews with Reg Varney, Anna Karen, Stephen Lewis, Ronalds Chesney & Wolfe, and Roy Skeggs.
In this special video we go behind the scenes with Morris Bright and find out about how these rare interviews that he recorded in 2002 came about, what they talked about and look at some amazing, never before seen clips, including Stephen Lewis as Inspector Blake at Elstree Studios, and Morris walking with Anna Karen through the studios to look at the construction work for the new Big Brother house.
As if that wasn’t enough, we’ve also included Reg Varney, in his 80s, playing one of his favourite old song and dance numbers on the piano at his home.
On the Buses at the Movies is a feature length documentary that celebrates the 50th anniversary of this classic British comedy film series. We go behind the scenes with contributions from cast and crew, including Reg Varney, Anna Karen, Stephen Lewis, Andria Lawrence and writers Ronald Chesney and Ronald Wolfe, who look back on the making of the films and reflect on the their enduring appeal.
